World Standards Day

The 14th marked World Standards Day, a date that recognises the contribution of thousands of experts who voluntarily develop international standards that are fundamental to the smooth functioning of societies and economies.
Promoted by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), this initiative aims to highlight the role of standards in ensuring the quality, safety and interoperability of products and services.
Events will be held throughout the country to demonstrate the importance of standardisation by presenting testimonials from companies on the impact of standards on competitiveness and how they support innovation.

Standards are essential for facilitating global trade, strengthening competitiveness and driving innovation and sustainable development.
Qualiseg recognises the importance of standardisation, having worked in this field for over 20 years. It currently participates in six technical committees in the quality system, chairing Technical Committee 224 and acting as secretary to Technical Committee 213.
